Forklift Operators need industrial driving skills to safely and effectively operate forklifts in a refrigerated warehouse.
Forklift Operators also need excellent spatial awareness, attention to detail and the physical ability to
perform manual labor. A successful Forklift Operator candidate will also have certain prerequisite skills
and qualifications that typically include:
ï‚· Ability to work long shifts on your feet and in a frozen environment
ï‚· Ability to work well in a team with other staff, such as drivers, schedulers, and brokers to
coordinate the movement of goods
ï‚· Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements
ï‚· Knowledge of industrial storage procedures, such as the correct way to stack pallets,
understanding weight limitations, etc.
ï‚· Ability to itemize and record stock for inventories
ï‚· Ability to safely lift 60LBS repetitively unassisted
High school diploma or GED
ï‚· Valid fork-lifting certificate, training is available
ï‚· Proficiency in operating technical machinery and scanners
ï‚· Mathematical aptitude
ï‚· Good organizational skills
ï‚· Attention to detail
ï‚· Good written and verbal communication
Day shift- 8am – 5pm some overtime. Pay is based on experience.
